Where targeted marketing is important, Patron details can be captured and stored in the Oscar database. Patron details are integrated with the Oscar's membership functionality, and the system includes a powerful query tool.

Orange Wednesdays

Orange Wednesdays Savoy Systems Ltd has integrated the Orange Wednesday promotion into its Oscar Box Office system, to reduce box office congestion arising from the Orange boxes. Orange Wednesday codes are now validated using a standard broadband connection, rather than the Orange boxes, resulting in a much faster service. Additionally the integration allows customers to book online using Orange Wednesday codes, believed to be the first such implementation, and a pilot was successfully launched at the Savoy Cinema, Nottingham on 22nd October 2008.

The venue-based version of the Oscar software consists of various modules, some of which are optional:
  • Point of Sale - customer-present sales
  • Back Office - configuration, reporting and marketing
  • Credit Card - includes Chip and PIN as standard (optional)
  • Web - internet sales (optional)
  • Signage - foyer display of show times (optional)
  • Pickup Point - self-service ticket collection (optional)
  • Membership & Marketing - membership database, benefits and renewals, direct marketing (optional)
