Company History

The company was formed in 2006 to market and support Oscar, our Ticketing and Retail software solution.

Development of Oscar began in early 2005, and the first installation took place at the Savoy Cinema in Nottingham in June 2006.

The founding directors - James Collington and Patrick Hort - bring to the company a wealth of experience in the Cinema Industry and the Software Development Industry respectively.

A highly qualified Electronics Engineer by training, James is currently a director of Savoy Cinemas Ltd, an independent cinema operater with venues in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

Patrick is an extremely experienced Software Engineer, and is also a director of Productive Software Ltd. He has in the past developed software for a range of companies such as LM UK (Nectar Card), UBS Investment Bank, and European Business School INSEAD.

With over fifteen years of experience in the Cinema Industry, and a further fifteen years' Software Development experience, Savoy Systems Ltd is in a unique position to meet the needs of the Ticketing and Retail Industry.
