Oscar can be configured for integrated Chip and PIN Credit Card Processing at the Point of Sale. When a customer makes a purchase, the PIN Pad (see picture) attached to the Sales Point PC automatically fires up with the value of the transaction and the customer simply enters their PIN to complete the transaction. The software that drives the PIN Pad and that communicates with the bank to authorise payment is supplied by one of our Technology Partners.

Credit Card Processing for interent transcations made via the Oscar Web module is handled by another of our Technology Partners.

Unless Savoy Systems is hosting Web Sales, online booking is made via an internet address such as www.myvenueonline.co.uk. Such an address is referred to as a Domain Name and Domain Names can be bought online from various companies.

In order to ensure that a customer's credit card details are protected when used online, a Secure SSL Certificate is required. The customer's card details are encrypted in order to keep them private and a padlock appears in the customer's web browser to show that the connection is secure.
